Physical and Biological Chemistry of Living Matter
PBCLM-XX
Presentation
The study of Living Matter drives our activity, both as a source of molecules and processes to be studied and harnessed, and as a motivation to introduce methodological developments in chemistry and new molecular tools. We in particular aim at controlling and analyzing the dynamics of biomolecules involved in networks of chemical reactions and interactions, up to in vivo. We also push forward bio-assisted chemistry, exploiting living microorganisms as engineered chemical factories. Our projects involving perturbing/imaging cells or taming micro-organisms are of interest for diagnostic, medical applications, or bioproduction.
More precisely, our activities are organized along two research axes: – Control and analysis of the dynamics of biomolecules – Bio-assisted chemistry
