Laura LIM

PhD student

Laura Lim completed her university study at the Université Paris Cité where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in the biomedical field. She then continued with a master’s degree called “Frontiers in chemistry” in the same university.

During her first year she had the opportunity to enrich her professional experience in the chemobiology field during a 6 months internship at the Institut Pasteur in Dr. Marcel Hollenstein’s team. She worked on the synthesis of a modified nucleic acid and its incorporation in aptamer.

She obtained her master’s degree in the “Organic & Bioorganic Medicinal Chemistry” track and did her final year internship at “Laboratoire de Chimie et Biochimie Pharmacologique et Toxicologique” in Dr. Antoine Maruani’s team where she worked on the synthesis of molecules aiming a solid phase synthesis for protein-protein conjugation.

In October 2025, she began her PhD at Sorbonne Université in Pr. Arnaud Gautier & Dr. Sylvestre Bachollet’s team where she’s currently working on the development of a fluorogenic bioorthogonal reaction for precise fluorescent labelling in cells.
